Licensed TCM practitioners and acupuncturists who graduated from TCM (Oriental Medicine), acupuncture, or Western medical institutions in the United States, China, or other countries, and who have received formal acupuncture training and obtained legal licensure in the United States;
Students enrolled in TCM and acupuncture institutions (Student Members);
Supporters and enthusiasts of TCM and acupuncture (Supporter Members);
Relevant organizations and affiliated groups.
Unite TCM practitioners in New York and throughout the United States to improve public health and establish one of the most comprehensive professional academic organizations in TCM and acupuncture.
Preserve the core theories of classical Chinese medicine and acupuncture while promoting modern TCM and acupuncture techniques.
Establish high-level professional training programs focused on TCM theory and clinical skills to elevate the overall academic and clinical standards of Chinese medicine in the United States.
Protect the interests of the profession and its members, provide legal consultation and assistance, participate in public affairs, and promote comprehensive legislation for Chinese medicine and acupuncture in the United States.
Organize professional training programs centered on lineage inheritance and mentorship.
Organize academic conferences and lectures, compile professional publications, and publish academic papers.
Recognize and honor outstanding individuals in the field of Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Conduct clinical and scientific research in TCM and acupuncture.
Graduates of nationally recognized TCM or acupuncture institutions in the United States, China, or other countries or regions;
Licensed Western medical doctors who have systematically studied acupuncture and obtained legal qualifications to practice Oriental Medicine or acupuncture in the United States (Practitioner Members);
Students enrolled in TCM or acupuncture institutions (Student Members);
Enthusiasts and supporters of TCM and acupuncture (Supporter Members);
International TCM or acupuncture practitioners who possess legal licensure in their respective countries and meet equivalent standards to official U.S. members (International Members).
Participate in activities organized by the Association;
Offer criticism, suggestions, and supervision regarding the Association’s work;
Submit opinions and recommendations concerning Association affairs;
Freely join or withdraw from the Association;
Practitioner Members in the United States have voting, election, and decision-making rights;
Participate in international academic activities through the Association and receive information regarding activities organized by international acupuncture organizations and the Association.
Actively participate in Association activities and maintain communication with the Association;
Observe the Association’s bylaws and implement its resolutions;
Safeguard the reputation and lawful rights of the Association;
Pay annual membership dues on time:
Practitioner Members & International Members: USD $100/year
Student Members: USD $50/year
Supporter Members: USD $50/year
Organizational Members: USD $200/year
The (ATCMAIA) is a nonprofit academic organization officially registered in the State of New York. The Association is dedicated to promoting international academic exchange in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture, enhancing the professional and clinical standards of acupuncture practitioners in the United States, and providing better healthcare services to the public.
Article 1 – Name of the Association
The Association is named the American TCM Acupuncture Inheritance Association (ATCMAIA). It was officially registered as a nonprofit organization in the State of New York on June 5, 2018.

The Association is a nonprofit academic organization registered in New York State. Its income is mainly used for organizational development, academic exchanges, research activities, public welfare programs, and recognition of individuals and groups with outstanding contributions.
Article 4 – Mission and Purpose
The mission of the Association is to serve the public in the United States by actively promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, enabling more people to understand TCM-related therapies, preserving and inheriting traditional acupuncture culture, strengthening public health awareness, and popularizing disease prevention and natural healing knowledge.
Through the application of TCM and acupuncture, the Association aims to improve the health standards of people in the United States and worldwide. It also seeks to strengthen domestic and international academic development and collaboration in TCM and acupuncture by organizing academic activities, improving practitioners’ professional and clinical skills, and providing a platform for academic exchange, networking, cooperation, and innovation.
